A Sussex County woman was airlifted to the hospital after she was struck by a car while crossing Route 57 in Warren County Wednesday evening, police said.
Penelope Taylor, 66, was attempting to cross Route 57 E. in Washington Township when she was struck by a 41-year-old Phillipsburg man driving a 2004 Pontiac Vibe westbound shortly after 6:05 p.m., police said.
An initial investigation determined that Taylor was not using a crosswalk while crossing the road, authorities said.

A 26-year-old Warren County man accused of selling cocaine and other drugs was arrested following a month-long investigation, authorities said.
Jeramy Lepisko, 26, was arrested Sept. 24 after a search of his home on Allen Road in Mansfield Township turned up cocaine, mushrooms, morphine, Suboxone, OxyContin, Xanax and more than $9,000 in cash, Acting Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said Tuesday.
Lepisko’s 2006 Ford Fusion was also confiscated in the investigation, Pfeiffer said.

Barry F. Miller, 48, was in Phillipsburg when he performed “multiple acts of sexual penetration, specifically oral, and anal penetration,” as well as other sexual contact on a child, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a Tuesday release.
The abuse, which occurred between 1995 and 1998, began when the child was under 13 and continued into their teenage years, Pfeiffer said.
