: Senior Homeowner, Daughter's Fiancé Killed In South Hackensack House Fire
UPDATE: An elderly homeowner and her daughter's fiancé died in an overnight house fire in South Hackensack, authorities confirmed. The Agar Place fire broke out in the rear of the 1½-story home shortly after 3 a.m. and instantly spread, responders and neighbors said. An off-duty South Hackensack police sergeant who lives next door to the victims tried to extinguish the flames with a garden hose, but the blaze spread too quickly. Fire Doused At Garfield Auto Body Shop
Garfield firefighters quickly doused a blaze at a local auto body shop. The fire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday at D&T Auto Body on River Driver at Belmont Avenue. Firefighters quickly knocked it down and had it in under a half-hour. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid at the scene and in coverage was provided by firefighters from Wallington, Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook.

East Rutherford House Fire Doused
Firefighters responding to an early Sunday night blaze limited the damage at an East Rutherford home. The first on the scene found heavy smoke in the attic from an electrical fire that ignited in the second-floor ceiling of the Vreeland Avenue home, responders said. Firefighters quickly got water on the flames, keeping the blaze from spreading, they said. No injuries were reported. Mutual aid responders included firefighters from Wallington. Dog Rescued In Lodi House Fire
A dog was rescued during an early Wednesday evening house fire in Lodi. No injuries were reported in the two-alarm Harrison Avenue blaze, which broke out in a second-floor room of the brick single-family home around 5:20 p.m. Firefighters had it doused within 15 minutes. Mutual aid was provided at the scene or in coverage by firefighters from Hasbrouck Heights, Rochelle Park, Saddle Brook and Wallington. Damien Danis took the photos and contributed to this story. Overnight House Fire Doused In East Rutherford
Firefighters doused an overnight house blaze in East Rutherford. The broke out on in a second-floor bathroom and pushed through the attic of the Washington Place home near Randolph Avenue shortly after 2 a.m., responders said. Firefighters knocked the three-alarm blaze down within a little over a half-hour and extinguished it a short time later. No injuries were reported. TRIBUTE: A final farewell for one of the last remaining veterans of World War II's Normandy Invasions was all paid for when disaster struck. Eugene W. Dednam of Hackensack died last month, just weeks after turning 100. He had no known survivors. UPDATE: The body of a New Milford High School senior was removed from a borough pond hours after what witnesses said was a tragic accident. Fire from a downed powerline extended to a Lodi home and a stretch of plastic fence. No injuries were reported in the fire on Passaic Street at Charles Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 28. Overnight Fire Doused At Industrial Supply Company In Garfield
Firefighters doused a pre-dawn blaze at an industrial supply company in Garfield. The fire ignited shortly after 3:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Metro Industrial Supply Company on the corner of Morell Place and Charles Street, responders said.
