Prosecutor: Newark Ex-Con Gets 31 Years For Gunpoint Robbery, Attempt To Escape Police Custody
A seven-time Newark ex-con who attempted to free himself from police custody after robbing a Verizon store at gunpoint was sentenced to 31 years in prison, authorities said.
Wahiddudin Kimbrough, 34, was sentenced by Essex County Superior Court Judge Michael L. Ravin after being convicted of robbery, conspiracy and attempted escape, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said.

Man Accused Of Peering Under Stalls In Women's Restroom At Long Island Store
A man has been accused of peering under stalls in a women's restroom at a Long Island store.
The incident happened on Friday, Oct. 25 at 4:30 p.m. in Garden City, according to Nassau County Police. After an investigation, Jamali Johnson, 32, of Garden City, was located at his residence and placed under arrest on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 12:10 p.m.
Officers responded to the Verizon store, located at 741 Zeckendorf Blvd., where a female victim gave a description of the offender to police.
