John-Tyler Dawes, 27, of Delaware County, died suddenly on Sunday, Feb. 12, according to his obituary.
Born in Neptune, NJ, Dawes graduated from the Delaware County Christian School and later from Messiah College with a degree in education. Dawes was active in various churches in the community and served as a YMCA counselor — "a role he cherished," according to his obituary.

A Delaware County teenager who once helped save three kids from drowning in an icy pond was shot dead in Upper Darby, authorities say.
Anthony Alexander, 17, of Collingdale Borough, was in an apartment building on the 2400 block of Marshall Road just before 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, when he was shot, township police said in a statement.

Six Men Charged In Delco Child Sex Sting, DA Says
Six men face criminal charges in Delaware County for soliciting sex from minors on the internet, said District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer in a release.
In a three-day operation that was led by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service with assistance from the FBI, state police, and local authorities, undercover law enforcement officers "assumed the identity of a minor" online, the DA said.
