A hardened ex-con from Connecticut admitted that he and a longtime criminal pal from Philadelphia stabbed a political consultant to death and then torched his Jersey City apartment in a murder-for-hire attack.
George Bratsenis, 73, of Monroe, CT said he and his partner were paid to whack Michael Galdieri, the son of former State Sen. James Galdieri (D-Jersey City) and a prominent figure in local Hudson County politics.

Fairfield County Man Charged With Sexual Assault, Police Say
Following a months-long investigation, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for an alleged sexual assault.
Shawn Santoro, age 33, of Trumbull, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 14 by the Newtown Police and charged with one count of sexual assault.
According to police, the arrest was the culmination of a several month-long investigation by the Newtown Police Department's Patrol Division, and Detective Bureau, into a reported sexual assault, the department said.
Santoro was released on a $100,000 surety bond.

On Friday, Dec. 3 In Hartford County, Windsor resident Christopher Wujek won a $785,000 “MEGA Multiplier!” CT Lottery ticket that was sold to him at the Deerfield Package on Deerfield Road in Windsor.

Several Connecticut residents are feeling lucky after cashing in CT Lottery tickets with six-figure prizes.
On Monday, Nov. 29, a Trumbull resident cashed in a winning $300,000 “$1,000,000 Golden Riches” scratch-off lottery ticket that was sold at the Trumbull Super Stop on Main Street in Fairfield County.
