Coroner Identifies Husband And Wife Killed In Allentown Crash Authorities are investigating after a married couple were fatally struck by a car in Allentown on Friday night, May 3, according to officials.  Police said the victims were hit near North Main Street and West Chew Street around 8:30 p.m. They were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and succumbed to their injuries, authorities said.  The Lehigh County Coroner's Office said they were 83-year-old Frank R. Chester Avant, of Pedricktown, died from his injuries, according to New Jersey State Police.
