Man Admits To Slashing Victim In Face Outside Area Bar, DA Says
A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty to assault in connection with a slashing of a man outside an area bar.
Barry Cooper, of Middletown, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Nov. 21, in connection with Sept. 21, slashing of a man outside of a bar in the Town of Wallkill, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
At the time Cooper pleaded guilty, he admitted having slashed the victim in the face with a sharp-edged object at about 3:30 a.m., outside a closed bar on Route 211, the DA's Office said.

Two Men Nabbed With 110 Bags Of Heroin In Area, Police Said
Police nabbed two men for alleged possession of 110 bags of heroin, 13 THC vape pens, and pot following a traffic stop.
Johnnie K. Johnson Jr., 26, of the Town of Wallkill, and Gillbert R. Rodriguez, 27, of Middletown, were arrested on Monday, July 1, after they were stopped in the parking lot of the Claremont Condominium at 240 Schutt Road, said the Town of Wallkill Police.
During the stop, officers searched the vehicle and uncovered the drugs, police said.

Man Sentenced For Fatal Wallkill BMW Crash That Killed 30-Year-Old Man
A man who was driving high when he killed a Town of Wallkill man in a crash has been sentenced to five to 15 years in prison.
Robinson Perez, 31, of Manhattan, was sentenced Wednesday, Feb. 6, in connection with the fatal crash which occurred on July 16, 2017, that killed Dustin Mills, 30, of Middletown, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
The victim was killed when the car that he had been driving on Route 17M, in the Town of Wallkill, was struck at high speed by a car driven by Perez, the DA's Office said.
