Police are seeking the public’s help locating a man identified as the suspect in the theft of $6,000 worth of scanners from a back office at Lowe’s in Hackettstown. Joshua J. Ascencio, pictured above, is accused of stealing 4 Zebra MS9300 scanning receiving devices valued at $6,000 from an office at Lowe’s Home Improvement store on Mountain Avenue in Hackettstown around 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 16, local police said in a Monday release. The police investigation into a reported “large drug transaction” led to the arrest of three men in Westchester who are now facing weapons charges after being busted, authorities announced. Deadly Levels Of CO Overcome Dumont Couple
Two Dumont residents who were overcome by carbon monoxide gas were rescued by responders. Both were taken to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center after police, firefighters and EMS members responded to the Niagara Street home shortly before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The male resident was revived by CPR and brought to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, responders said. The female resident was transferred to the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, they said.
