Fort Lee Woman Fined $750 For Dumping 15-Year-Old Deaf, Blind Dog In Teterboro Industrial Area
A judge in Hackensack fined a Fort Lee woman $750 Monday after she admitted that she deliberately abandoned her 15-year-old deaf and blind Boston Terrier in Teterboro. Tania Connelly, 59, was tracked down and issued a complaint last month by the Bergen County SPCA’s Law Enforcement Division that charged her with “inflict[ing] unnecessary cruelty upon a living animal” by abandoning the aging pooch in a public place. Moonachie police sought the public's help Monday finding a vehicle that a Hasbrouck Heights bicyclist said struck him in Teterboro on his way to work last week. The 48-year-old man bicyclist walked to the Shell service station on Franklin Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights around 3:30 a.m. last Tuesday, Sept. 18, Moonachie Detective Sgt. Anthony Fugniti said. Michael Goursky Of Emerson Dies, 26
Michael Goursky of Emerson died on Sunday, Sept. 16. He was 26 years old. Born in Hackensack, Michael was formerly of Hasbrouck Heights and had been working in construction, his obituary says. He is survived by his parents, Deborah (nee Wachter) and Gary Goursky; sister Christina Goursky; grandmother Peggy Goursky; along with aunts, uncles cousins and friends. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bergen County Animal Shelter 100 United Lane in Teterboro.

A transgender shoplifter pulled a screwdriver on a Teterboro Walmart security guard and threatened to stab him with it, authorities said.
