ID Released For Man Hit, Killed By Car After Stepping Out Of Vehicle On I-95 During Storm A 24-year-old man who was a passenger in a car that was disabled in the left lane of I-95 was struck and killed by a passing vehicle has been identified. Alfredo Javier Lopez Marrero, of Tampa, Florida, was killed around 2:40 a.m. Friday while standing outside of the disabled vehicle on northbound I-95 just south of exit 40 in Milford, said the Connecticut State Police. The incident, which closed the highway for more than four hours, happened when the second vehicle came upon the disabled vehicle and struck Marrero before hitting the vehicle.
