Police in North Castle were called in to help in attempting to track down an erratic driver on Route 128 in Armonk who gave a scare to fellow motorists before speeding off. Officers from the North Castle Police Department received a report shortly after 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, from a caller at Business Park Drive who stated that a driver in a Jeep on Route 128 was speeding, passing other vehicles and going through stop signs in the area. Numerous Thefts From Unlocked Cars Reported In Port Chester
Police in Port Chester are reminding the public to lock up their doors at night following a rash of reported larcenies inside of unlocked vehicles in the area. The Port Chester Police Department issued an alert to local residents recently after there were numerous vehicles that were entered and rummaged by opportunistic schemers in the Upper Street and High School area. A report of a suspicious car in Fairfield led to a road closure and a response from the bomb squad, according to Fairfield Police. The incident took place around 12:53 p.m. Tuesday when Fairfield police responded to a report of a suspicious car that was abandoned near Mill Plain Green, said Lt. Robert Kalamaras. 3 Suspicious Bags Bring Bomb Squad To Maywood
MAYWOOD, N.J. -- Bergen County's bomb squad had a busy Friday morning in Maywood after a trio of suspicious bags were found in the same area. All turned out harmless. Two separate backpacks were found by a police officer at an Essex Street bus shelter near Maywood Avenue around 4:45 a.m., Police Chief David Pegg said.
