A Hudson Valley man is accused of abandoning a dog that later starved and froze to death. Ronnie Morris, 38, of Monticello, was indicted for aggravated cruelty to animals by a Sullivan County grand jury on Friday, March 7. An investigation found that Morris abandoned his 2-year-old pit bull, Nala, in a vacant house without electricity while locked in a crate, according to the Sullivan County DA’s office. Sarah Carter, 34, of Monticello, was indicted for criminally negligent homicide by a Sullivan County jury on Friday, Jan. 24. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a pair of Hudson Valley teenagers. Sullivan County residents Lariah Uhl, 15, and Lluvia Garcia, 16, were last seen in the town of Liberty on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. Uhl was last seen wearing a one piece black jumpsuit, and Garcia had a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and was carrying a white purse.
