A strong storm with damaging wind gusts has left thousands without power in Connecticut.
At around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, about 12,500 outages were reported statewide.
A total of 11,500 Eversource customers are without service, with most of the outages in the Town of Litchfield (1,959), Monroe (1,700) in Fairfield County, Cheshire (658) in New Haven County, Winchester (590) in Litchfield County, Farmington (487) in Hartford County, Thomaston (434) in Litchfield County, Southbury (414) in New Haven County, and Harwinton (337) in Litchfield County.

Four days after a wintry storm rolled through the region, hundreds in the Hudson Valley are still without power.
In Ulster County, the area hit hardest by the storm, more than 1,900 Central Hudson customers were still reporting outages late Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, while there were 54 in Dutchess also left in the dark, according to the utility company.

Ice Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Hudson Valley
Tens of thousands of Hudson Valley residents are without power late Friday morning, Feb. 4 as an ice storm rolls through the region.
As of 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Central Hudson was reporting around 500 active outages, impacting more than 41,000 of the company’s Hudson Valley customers.

Storm With Gusty Winds Leads To Power Outages In Fairfield County
Thousands in Connecticut have lost power as a storm with gusty winds rolled through the region, bringing down tree branches and power lines.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, Eversource was reporting that 10,170 of the company’s 1,287,329 customers were without power, representing less than 1 percent.
United Illuminating was also reporting five active outages, impacting 19 customers.
