A convicted drug dealer from Western Massachusetts was arrested for shooting at the same woman twice in three weeks, authorities said. Ernesto Lopez, age 30, of Springfield, was arrested and released on a $10,000 bail for shooting at a woman on Oct. 23, Springfield Police report. Man Killed In Overnight Shooting In Western Mass: Police
A man has died in an overnight shooting in one Western Massachusetts city, authorities said. Police responded for of ShotSpotter alert in the the 0-100 block of Walden Street in Springfield around 1:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, Ryan Walsh, public information officer for Springfield Police, said on Twitter. Upon arrival, officers found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, Walsh continued. The investigation is ongoing. Three people from Western Massachusetts, including a convicted drug lord, were arrested after more than 25,000 bags of heroin and other drugs were taken from their home last week. Multiple law enforcement agencies raided Luis Rosado's apartment on Commonwealth Avenue in Springfield on Thursday, Oct 27 following a lengthy investigation, Springfield Police report. Foursome Caught Smuggling More Than 1,000 Grams Of Cocaine In Western Mass
Four men from Springfield were arrested for trafficking more than 1,000 grams of cocaine among other illegal substances, authorities said. Miguel Rodriguez, Ricardo Collazo and Juan Santana were arrested around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, Springfield Police report. Springfield DEA members were conducting surveillance at a home on the 400 block of Walnut Street when they stopped a car with all three men inside, police said. Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree In Western Mass, Police Say
A man died after crashing his car into a tree in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 1;20 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 in Springfield in the 700 block of Berkshire Avenue. According to Ryan Walsh, a spokesman for the Springfield Police, officers who responded to the area found a single-car crash into a tree. The lone occupant, an adult male, was transported to Baystate Hospital where he died from his injuries, Walsh said. The department's Traffic Unit is investigating.

A man and a woman were found dead inside a Western Massachusetts home after a call from a relative. The two were found in Springfield around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25 on Maynard Street. Police are investigating after two men were shot on a street in Western Massachusetts. The incident took place in Springfield around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5 in the 100 block of Massachusetts Avenue.
