The shooting occurred on the 200 block of Washington Street. Christopher Williams was rushed to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:13 a.m., Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Logan Murphy Mengold, the son of Jason and Kristen (Murphy) Mengold, died on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Yale-New Haven Hospital following injuries sustained in the accident on Feb. 19 at the Mount Southington ski area, his obituary said.
