ID Released For Man Gunned Down In Fairfield County
Police have released the identity of Fairfield County man gunned down while standing on a street.
Benjamin Bagley, age 22, of Bridgeport, was killed around 5:24 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, on Union Avenue in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.
When Bridgeport officers arrived on the scene they located Bagley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at 100 Blackstone St., Appleby said.
He later died at Bridgeport Hospital.

Bust Yields More Than 1,000 Grams Of Cocaine, Guns In Fairfield County, Police Say
Police seized more than 1,000 grams of cocaine and two guns during a warrant search at a Fairfield County man's home.
On Wednesday, March 10, the Bridgeport Police Task Force was granted search and seizure warrants as part of the investigation into Manolo Ortiz-Granell, of Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
The investigation was based on evidence demonstrating that Ortiz-Granell was selling cocaine and heroin from 154 Roselle Street in Bridgeport, Appleby said.

Man Shot, Killed Looking Through Window Of Fairfield County Home After Hearing Noise
Police in Fairfield County are investigating a homicide in which a man was fatally shot while looking out the window of his home in response to a noise.
The incident took place around 2 a.m., Saturday, March 13, in the 2100 block of Seaview Avenue in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management.
According to Appleby, police responded after receiving a 911 call that a man had been shot. When officers arrived on the scene of the multi-family home, they found the victim in the front stairwell.

Fairfield Man Nabbed With Loaded Magazine, Drugs After Fleeing Traffic Stop, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly running from police during a motor vehicle stop and for having a loaded firearm magazine.
The incident took place around 2:24 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, when Bridgeport Police attempted a vehicle stop of Christopher Serrano, of Bridgeport, for not having a registration, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management.
After getting out of the vehicle, Serrano allegedly began to run away from officers while clutching his waistband. During the brief foot pursuit, two objects fell from his pants, Appleby said.
