A 63-year-old man from Middlesex County has been arrested in connection with the death of his live-in girlfriend, authorities said.
Michael Hodges, 63, of Sayreville has been charged with murder, aggravated assault and weapons offenses, they said.
Barbara Andronico, 62, of Sayreville was found dead on Thursday, May 19, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Sayreville Police Chief John Zebrowski.

NJ Morgue Driver Pick Pocketed Bodies: Authorities
A Middlesex County man who drives bodies to the morgue stole credit cards that he found on them, authorities said.
Kevin Thomas, Jr., 43, of Sayreville, who works as a driver at an unidentified company, used the stolen credit cards to buy plane tickets, groceries, movie tickets and other items from businesses throughout Middlesex County, the said.
Thomas was arrested on Tuesday, April 19 at his home, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone alongside Milltown Police Chief Brian Knelle.

Scam ALERT: Men Used Counterfeit $100 Bills At Several NJ Gas Stations, Police Say
Two men have been charged after allegedly using counterfeit bills at several gas stations throughout the Garden State, authorities said Friday.
Mohammad Kamara, 30, of Newark, and Tonney Manyango, 29, of Sayreville, are accused of asking for $3.00 worth of gas at QuickChek in Cedar Knolls, paying with a counterfeit $100 bill, and asking for change for a second counterfeit $100 bill on Jan. 4, Hanover Police said.
A follow-up investigation found that several other convenience stores throughout New Jersey had recently experienced a similar scam between Jan. 4 and Jan. 6, authorities said.
