Six Injured In Saw Mill River Parkway Crash
SIx people sustained injuries in a crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway when a car struck a guardrail, leading to a chain collision in Westchester. First responders from Dobbs Ferry, Greenburgh and the Westchester County Police Department responded to a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway near the Lawrence Street intersection in Dobbs Ferry at approximately 6:50 p.m. during the evening commute on Monday. Ginny Enright, 85, has lived in Chappaqua for the past 54 years. Now, Enright is one of the first residents of Chappaqua Crossing Apartments. Her friend of over 50 years just moved in, too. This story has been updated. Smoke was sent billowing through the air when a pickup truck became fully engulfed in flames at the merger of I-684 and the Saw Mill River Parkway on Thursday morning. First responders were dispatched at approximately 11 a.m. to I-684, at the Saw Mill River Parkway juncture near exit 43 in Katonah, where there was a multi-vehicle crash that left one car in flames near the guardrail of the southbound lanes. A stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway has reopened after a serious motor-vehicle crash caused its closure on Friday afternoon. The crash, reported around 4 p.m., occurred northbound in New Castle. A multi-acre brush fire that broke out Saturday afternoon off of the Saw Mill River Parkway in Chappaqua took nearly four hours to contain. Nearly a dozen local fire departments joined the Chappaqua Fire Department in responding after the blaze broke out at around 3 p.m. in the area on the hillside along the parkway behind Spring Lane.
