Facebook Marketplace Heists: Waterbury Man, Teen Accused In Robbery Scheme
A 22-year-old Connecticut man and a 17-year-old are accused of robbing multiple people by luring them to meet using Facebook Marketplace, police said. William Brown, of Waterbury, is charged with two counts each of first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, as well as one count of carrying a pistol without a permit, according to police. More than 27,000 wireless power chargers are being recalled after lithium-ion batteries inside them reportedly caught fire, burning users and sparking safety concerns. iWALK has issued the recall for about 27,500 magnetic wireless power banks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, May 29.
