Greenwich Police Nab Violent Kidnapper Who Fled From Westchester County, Cops Say
Police in Fairfield County nabbed a violent kidnapper who fled from Westchester County after committing the alleged crime.
The incident took place in Greenwich early Thursday, Sept. 21.
According to Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police, the department was notified by authorities in Westchester that police pursued a suspected wanted in a kidnapping and assault with a gun in Rye and had crossed state lines into the Town of Greenwich.
The suspect, identified as Daniel Patrick Twomey, age 39, of Lodi, New Jersey, was believed to be armed and dangerous, Smyth said.

Attorney General Michelle Henry is warning older Pennsylvanians to stay vigilant after three New York-based scammers were charged with stealing a combined $145,000 from Keystone State residents.

Two men face a long list of charges after sexually assaulting teenage girls in a total of three separate incidents throughout Westchester, officials said.
Both Port Chester resident Richard Olmino, age 21, and 32-year-old Jose Mejia Lopez face sexual abuse charges after allegedly assaulting teenage girls in three separate incidents that happened in North White Plains, Port Chester, and Rye, the Westchester County District Attorney's Office announced on Monday, Aug. 14.
