Box Truck Hits, Kills 41-Year-Old Man On Capital Region Roadway A man was struck and killed while walking on a roadway in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, on Route 9 in the town of Halfmoon, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Michael Blackburn, age 41, was walking along Route 9 near Sitterly Road when he was struck by a box car. Blackburn, of Clifton Park, was taken to Samaritan Hospital where he died from his injuries, deputies said.
