Trash-Hauling Tractor-Trailer Tips At Route 46, 80 Interchange
A tractor-trailer hauling municipal waste tipped over around noontime Wednesday on the westbound Route 46 exit to Route 80. The driver and a 12-year-old passenger who was with him got out OK and waited for responders (see photo). Morristown Man At Center Of Dover Police Controversy Arrested Again
A Morristown man whose 2019 arrest sparked controversy in Dover is in trouble with the law again -- this time, for crashing a stolen vehicle then trying to flee in the car he struck, authorities said. : Police Outnumber Protesters Who Planned To Close Route 80
A protest march aimed at closing Route 80 in Hackensack on Friday was redirected to Route 46 in Teterboro instead. It got stopped there, as well, so the marchers headed back to the city. New Jersey State Police troopers and local police outnumbered the protesters at least three to one. The 60 or so protesters who began marching on Union Street "were strongly advised against" heading to Route 80, a ranking law enforcement official told Daily Voice. A wagon went up in flames Monday at Van Saun Park in Paramus. No injuries were reported. Paramus firefighters doused the blaze. Saddle Brook police tracked down two men who they said loaded a pair of shopping carts with home theater equipment and assorted household items and tossed them into the back of a U-Haul parked right outside a Walmart fire exit. Tractor Trailer Tips On Route 46 Ramp
No injuries were reported after a tractor-trailer tipped before dawn Monday on the Route 46 ramp to the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 80 in Ridgefield Park. UPDATE: A SWAT team was summoned to a Little Ferry motel after a woman reported being stabbed and robbed Saturday afternoon. Police were searching for a suspect.
