Central Jersey Man Found With Crack Cocaine During Traffic Stop: Police
A Monmouth County man was accused of having crack cocaine during a traffic stop, authorities said. Wall Township police arrested 45-year-old Donny Reevey of Neptune at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 19, the department said in a Facebook post. Reevey's arrest came after he was stopped for traffic violations on Route 35 near New Bedford Road. He was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. Reevey was released on a summons with a future court date.

Jersey Shore Man Found With Stolen Gun, Burglary Tools: Police
An Asbury Park man was accused of having a stolen gun, knives, and burglary tools, authorities said. Corey Thermitus, 20, was arrested on Friday, Mar. 8, Wall Township police said in a news release. Thermitus was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata on Route 35 when officers pulled him over at around 3:45 p.m. Police said he had a Taurus 9mm gun, two knives, a sledgehammer, and a ski mask. An important bridge for many Monmouth County drivers will be closed for several months due to repairs, officials said. The state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) said the Route 71 drawbridge over the Shark River had a mechanical failure on Friday, Mar. 1 that caused "significant damage to the machinery of the North Bridge leaf." Structural evaluation and drawbridge engineering teams said the bridge is safe for vehicles traveling between Belmar and Avon-by-the-Sea. $10K Winning Lotto Ticket Sold At Wawa In Central Jersey
A Quick Draw lottery ticket worth $10,000 was sold at a Monmouth County gas station's convenience store, officials said. The New Jersey Lottery said the winning ticket was bought at the Wawa on Route 35 in Eatontown. The ticket was in a Quick Draw drawing on Sunday, Mar. 3. This was the second $10,000 winner in less than a week in Central Jersey after a Mega Millions ticket was purchased at a grocery store in Lakewood on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

A 38-year-old man was struck and killed on Route 35 in Monmouth County Thursday, Feb. 22, officials said. The unnamed man was walking on the southbound side of the roadway when he was struck by a 66-year-old woman in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler in the left lane near Valley Road in Ocean Township, just before 8:20 p.m., Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Authorities are investigating a crash early Tuesday, Dec. 12 that killed a pedestrian on Route 35 in Monmouth County.
