NJ Transit Announces Bus Service To American Dream Mall
NJ Transit will introduce bus service to the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, the agency said. Bus service will begin on a pilot basis this weekend to the mall, which is slated for completion Oct. 25 after nearly two decades of delays and setbacks. The massive entertainment-retail complex will include a miniature golf course, a Legoland Discovery Center, an aquarium, a movie theater and a water park, among other amenities. Clifton Stolen Auto Chase Ends In Crash, Detention Of Passaic Teens
Two Passaic teens led Clifton police on a high-speed overnight stolen-car chase that ended when they crashed into a business sign, authorities said. A patrol officer tried pulling over the vehicle after it repeatedly crossed over the dotted line and alternately sped up and slowed down on westbound Route 3 shortly before 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Sgt. A friendly neighbor paid a steep price for his kindness when he was beaten with a hammer outside a Rutherford hotel, authorities said. Police didn't have to look for the suspect: He turned up at the hospital where the victim was being treated. A Route 3 gas station attendant in Clifton fought off a masked robber who was armed with a handgun, police said. The robber – described as white, thin, dressed all in black and carrying a backpack -- accosted the attendant in the booth of the BP station on the westbound highway around 1 a.m. Friday, Detective Lt. Burger: Mahwah Location Shuts For Renovations, Clifton's Prepares To Open
BOOM Burger has big plans in store this year. The eatery closed its Mahwah location for renovations as its new Clifton spot readies to open. The burger chain announced on Facebook it will be coming to River Front Center strip mall on Route 3. No word yet on when the Route 17 location will reopen.
