Another Tractor-Trailer Tips On Route 287, Jamming Morning Commute
A tractor-trailer rollover jammed northbound Route 287 traffic in Oakland early Tuesday. The rig rolled off the road, with the tractor rolling into the woods and the trailer crushing the guardrail and splitting open near the exit for Route 208 around 4:30 a.m., responders said. The 48-year-old driver from Wilmington, DE, who climbed out, complained of a back injury but refused treatment, they said. The left and center lanes were reopened at Skyline Drive several hours later. Traffic on the southbound side was slowed. Detour routes were clogged, as well.

Overturned Tractor Trailer Spills Garbage Across Route 80 Entrance Ramp In Parsippany
Traffic was backed up along Route 80 in Parsippany Tuesday evening after a tractor trailer toppled over, spilling garbage across the entrance ramp from Route 287. Delays of 15-20 minutes were reported by 511nj.org as of 5:30 p.m. The truck overturned around 4 p.m. at exit 41, state police said. The ramp and two right lanes of Route 80 westbound were closed following the crash, 511nj.org reports. State police urged commuters to seek alternate routes. Drivers reported delays as far as Morristown.

Snake KO's Power To Mahwah Hotel Complex For Hours
A snake estimated at nearly 10 feet long knocked out power for several hours to the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel near the Rockland County border. Monday's outage at the hotel off Routes 287 and 17 and the NY State Thruway lasted about 4½ hours, Mahwah Fire Chief Michael Roe said. It began around 11 a.m., he said, after the snake got tangled in some switching gear on the property. A Morris County sheriff's officer and pick-up truck driver were hospitalized with injuries after their vehicles colliding on Route 287 in Parsippany early Tuesday morning, New Jersey State Police said. The unmarked sheriff's vehicle and Ford F150 were headed southbound in the two left lanes when they collided around 6:50 a.m. near milepost 42.2, Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.
