Major NJ Highway Closing This Weekend For Repairs Route 202 will be closed in both directions this weekend for drainage pipe replacement in Hunterdon County. Both southbound lanes and one right northbound lane will be closed approximately one mile north of ramp Route 29, from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Sunday, New Jersey's transportation department said. Southbound traffic will get by in the southbound shoulder, while one right lane will be open for northbound traffic. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Wednesday, Dec. 18 through Friday, Dec. 20, there will be two southbound lanes closed on the parkway in Yorktown. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department responded to a two-car crash on Route 202 near Spock Rock Road late on Saturday, Sept. 14. Police said that the investigation into the crash determined that one of the drivers was making a left turn off of Route 202, which is now illegal. The motorists suffered minor injures that did not require treatment, though the driver making the illegal left-hand turn was issued a summons.
