Felon On Probation Stopped While Driving 115 MPH With Loaded Gun On I-95, Police Say
A Fairfield County man on probation was allegedly busted with a loaded gun after being stopped for driving 115 mph on I-95.
Giovanni Candelario, 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 9, after his white 2014 Acura IIx20, was spotted traveling in excess of 115 mph and weaving through traffic on Route 8 South, south of Exit 8 in Bridgeport, said the Connecticut State Police.
When stopped on I-95, officers found that Candelario had a suspended driver's license and that he was on probation and on the Deadly Weapon Registry, police said.

Stamford Duo Nabbed For Drugs In Fairfield Warrant Search
Two area men were busted with drugs during a warrant search by Fairfield County police.
Jaydeh Brayboy, 19, and Jerry Salaahudiyn, 36, both of Stamford, were arrested on Sunday, Dec. 20 by members of the Stamford Police Narc Unit during a warrant search, said Capt. Richard Conklin.
According to Conklin, Narc Unit members had been investigating the two men for the sale of drugs for quite some time before the warrant was served.
Salaahudiyn was busted with the alleged sale of a crack to an undercover officer. When busted, he had more than $,000 in cash, Conklin said.

Police: Armed Teen Who Threatened Girlfriend Apprehended Following Northern Westchester Pursuit
A Northern Westchester teen who was threatening his girlfriend, and was originally thought to have abducted the woman and a child, has been arrested on a probation violation charge.
Jacob Ruffin, 19, of Peekskill, was arrested around 3:45 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6, after Peekskill police responded to a home for a domestic violence incident involving a handgun, said Peekskill Police Chief Don Halmy.
A short time later, Ruffin was seen on the 1300 block of Howard Street, and a foot pursuit with responding officers ensued, Halmy said.

A 32-year-old man who allegedly made repeated phone calls to an area business in an attempt to reach a person he was barred from contacting has been arrested for harassment.
Cole Hernandez, 32, of Bridgeport, was arrested on an active warrant on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for an incident which took place on Thursday, July 9, in Westport, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso.
According to Prezioso, on the morning of July 9, officers responded to a local business on a report of harassing telephone calls.
