Armed Robbers Antagonizing Taxi Drivers Nabbed In Prince George's: Police
A trio of robbers antagonizing taxi drivers in recent months have been arrested in Prince George's County, police said.
Omar Hernandez and Jose Linares-Hernandez, both 20, of Adelphi, along with a 15-year-old juvenile, robbed various independent taxi service drivers in Langley Park between Dec. 12, 2022, and Jan. 12, county police said.
Hernandez and Linares-Hernandez robbed five drivers while the teen robbed a driver at knifepoint on Jan. 12, authorities said. The teen's case is considered separate from the men, police said. The men were being held without bond.

A Silver Spring man has been arrested on drug charges after a concerned police officer performed a welfare check on him after finding him in a car, authorities say.
Raymond Jenkins, 29, was reportedly slouched down in the front seat of a vehicle appearing to need medical attention when he was found by the officer on Friday, Dec. 30 in the 4400 block of Wheeler Road, according to Prince George's County police.
As officers conducted the welfare check, they could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle, prompting a search.

A Maryland couple is dead and two others are hospitalized after a domestic incident that police believe may have been self defense, authorities say.
Monique Duncan, 42, and Maurice Moore, 42, were pronounced dead around 6 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 1 after a domestic incident at their home in the 2500 block of Lazy Acres Road in Clinton, according to Prince George's County Police.
Two other individuals, a child and an adult, were also found in the home suffering from non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Teen Carjacker Unable To Start Victim's Vehicle In Maryland, Caught Immediately
A Maryland carjacking suspect did not get far after being unable to start his victim's vehicle, authorities say.
Messiah Jones, 18, was arrested just minutes after attempting to carjack a victim at gunpoint in the 2700 block of Lorring Drive in District Heights, according to Prince George's County Police.
Jones reportedly demanded the suspect's keys around 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, before getting in the vehicle and trying to drive off. Jones was unable to start the vehicle, and ran from the scene. Within minutes, officers were able to find Jones in the 3000 block of Donnell Drive.
