Newark Man Charged In Trio Of Restaurant Burglaries
A 30-year-old Newark man has been charged with stealing hundreds of dollars in connection with three restaurant burglaries. A man later identified as Nathaniel Hartwell shattered the drive-thru window of McDonald's on 18th Avenue around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose. No cash was taken, but the Hartwell was seen by Police on surveillance camera inside the restaurant. 2 Popeyes Restaurants Coming To Central Jersey
A pair of Popeyes restaurants are coming to Central Jersey. The eateries are planned for Route 36 in Hazlet and Route 537 in Jackson. The Hazlet store -- replacing a former service station -- is set to open Jan. 2, according to the Asbury Park Press. No opening date has been set for the Jackson joint, located at Adventure Crossing USA, a new sports and entertainment complex near Six Flags Great Adventure.

Paterson detectives seized more than 2,000 heroin folds, 82 bags of crack and more than $5,200 in drug proceeds in a pair of busts. The investigators were in an unmarked car Thursday night when they saw a heroin deal go down in the parking lot of the Popeye’s on Market Street, city Police Director Jerry Speziale said. Masked Gunman Robs $3,500 From Route 46 Popeye's
SEE ANYTHING? A masked gunman fled with $3,500 from the Popeye's on Route 46 in Lodi late Monday, authorities said. Employees were in the restaurant when the robber entered around 11:30 p.m. wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and boots -- and carrying a gun, Lt. Robert Salerno said.
