Nassau County Man Nabbed For Hitting Two People, Leaving Scene Of Crash, Police Say A Nassau County man was arrested for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident after hitting two people and then fleeing the scene. Amir Dashti, 27, of Glenwood Landing, was arrested around 8:15 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14, for the crash which took place at 10:35 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, on Scudders Lane, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Dashti was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Scudders Lane in Glenwood Landing when he allegedly struck two victims standing in front of 150 Scudders Lane and then fled the scene, police said. John McAloon of the Belleville Police Department said.  Two people took the vehicle from a High Street home shortly after 7 a.m., McAloon said.  A man jumped on the hood of the vehicle as it was driven off. Woman Hit By Car In Summit Gets $1.4M Settlement A woman who suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car in Summit three years ago has settled for $1.4 million, the woman's lawyer said Thursday.  A driver trying to retrieve a ticket for a parking lot at DeForest and Woodland avenues July 12, 2016, accidentally stepped on the gas, crashing through the gate, according to the plaintiff’s attorney, Kathyrn Schwartzstein of Morristown. Driver Injured After Rollover Crash In Westchester A driver was treated for injuries after losing control of his car and rolling over in Mamaroneck on Monday morning. First responders were dispatched at approximately 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve to Old White Plains Road, near the intersection of Bruce Road, where there was a report of a one-car crash in the area that rolled over. According to fire officials, the driver was able to extradite himself from the vehicle and he was treated for minor injuries by members of the Larchmont Ambulance Corps. The cause of the crash was not released.

According to Michael Preziosi, director of the town’s Department of Technical Services, the unidentified employee in Cortlandt was attacked at her private residence. He said the town wishes her a speedy recovery. The woman, who was attacked early last week, reportedly suffered numerous injuries, including a punctured lung and broken pelvis during the attack by the buck.
