Hero Peekskill DPW Employee Honored By Police Peekskill Police Department gave "a big shout out" this week to Shawn Dasecke, a city Department of Public Works employee who was honored at the Common Council meeting. Putnam Man Nailed For Impersonating Officer May Have Stopped Others Local deputies are asking area motorists if they have been pulled over by a 25-year-old man recently arrested for impersonating a police officer.  Joseph A. Maffettone of Putnam Valley was arrested on Feb. 16 on charges of impersonating a police officer after the Putnam County Sheriff's Office received a report from a woman who said she was pulled over by a man pretending to be a police officer. Three Busted For Selling Heroin In Northern Westchester Three men with lengthy arrest records are facing possession and sale of heroin charges following the execution of several search warrants Monday by members of the Peekskill Police Department and the Westchester County Heroin and Opiate Task Force.  Charles Pritchett, 65, of the Bronx, John Brown, 58, and Mark Mair, 58, both of Peekskill, were busted following a search of a home at 118 Old Bay St., in Peekskill, and a vehicle belonging to Pritchett, said Peekskill Police Chief Eric Johansen.
