Downtown Northampton is undergoing a major, but temporary, renovation to make it a more practical place to eat, shop, and play during the COVID-19 pandemic. The work begins on Tuesday, Aug. 18 and it will disrupt traffic during construction. Work is expected to end on Aug. 22. Parts of Main Street will be closed to vehicles Aug. 20-21. Updates will include a temporary bike lane, artwork, and a new bus stop configuration. Cuban Pete's In Montclair Issued Violation For Serving Food Inside
Cuban Pete's in Montclair was issued a violation for serving food indoors, authorities said. The popular Bloomfield Avenue eatery was one of three Executive Order violations reported over the weekend, Col. Pat Callahan of the New Jersey State Police said during Monday's COVID-19 briefing. Restaurants in the Garden State are currently only allowed to serve and sell food through outdoor dining, takeout and delivery. The long-awaited reopening of Felina in Ridgewood is here. Helmed by renowned chef Anthony Bucco, the contemporary Italian restaurant has been closed for more than four months due to COVID-19. A change that will allow more restaurants to offer outdoor dining will soon take effect in New Jersey. Reopening Date Set For NJ Indoor Dining, Casinos
Indoor dining can resume at 25 percent capacity in New Jersey on July 2, Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday in a tweet. Casinos can reopen the same day, also at 25 percent capacity, the governor said. Additional health and safety guidance will be released within the next several days, he added.
