: Northern Valley HS Staffer Collapses, Heroes Respond
No students were in the immediate area when a staff member collapsed and stopped breathing at Northern Valley Regional High School in Old Tappan, authorities said. Luckily police were. Former Bergen Resident, 44, Charged With Sexually Assaulting Pre-Teen
A former Old Tappan resident was charged with repeatedly sexually assaulting a local child, authorities said. Nikolaos Chlios, a 44-year-old audio/video installer who lives with his wife in Queens, remained held Friday in the Bergen County Jail while awaiting a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack. Rockland Bicyclist Injured In Fall
A 71-year-old Rockland bicyclist was hospitalized after a nasty fall at the state border in Old Tappan, authorities said. The victim "hit an uneven patch of pavement in the roadway" near the corner of Old Tappan and Semino Road and fell off her bicycle" around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Police Lt. Robert W. Wacht said.
