Long Island Man Nabbed For TD Bank Robbery, Police Say
A Long Island man was nabbed for an alleged bank robbery just hours after the incident.
The robbery took place in Oceanside at the TD Bank around 11:50 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 9.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, Joseph C. Dahmen, age 38, of Long Beach, entered the TD Bank at 247 Long Beach Road, approached a teller, and produced a demand note for cash.
The teller complied and Dahmen fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of proceeds, police said.

Police on Long Island are asking the public for help locating a missing woman who may be driving a vintage red Corvette.
Gypsy Shaw, age 38, was last seen in Oceanside around 7 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 18, and reported missing to the Nassau County police at 9:50 p.m.
According to detectives, Shaw, a resident of Oceanside, was last seen on Murdock Avenue.
She is described as being 5-foot-4, 200 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde and pink hair.
