Point Pleasant Woman With Young Daughter Charged With Downloading Child Porn
A Point Pleasant woman with a young daughter was jailed after authorities said they caught her with child pornography on her cellphone. Lisa (Moffett) Cuervo, 24, remained held Saturday in the Ocean County Jail, charged with possessing child pornography. The divorced Cuervo also was charged with having 17 marijuana plants that Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said were found during a warranted search of her home on Friday by members of his High Tech Crime Unit and Point Pleasant Borough police. Lakewood Dollar Store Shopper Says He Has Coronavirus, Charged With Spitting In Officer's Face
A 26-year-old Lakewood man was arrested Monday after spitting in a police officer's face and resisting arrest at the Dollar General in Jackson, authorities said. Police were called to the store at Manhattan Street Plaza at 6:22 p.m. on a complaint of a disorderly person. A man had removed his face mask and refused a store employee's request to put it back on while purposely touching other customers in the store, Jackson police said in a news statement. Brick PD: Home Depot Shoplifter Nabbed With Nearly $5,000 Worth Of Power Tools
A 28-year-old Whiting man was caught shoplifting more than $4,900 worth of power tools and other merchandise from a Route 70 Home Depot, Brick police said. Michael Schecton loaded the merchandise into a shopping cart and then ran out when a security officer tried to stop him, they said.Detective Sgt. Lawrence Petrola and Detectives Jeff Person and Matt Firneno arrived and chased down Schecton. A search of Schecton’s vehicle turned up a bag of gold jewelry believed stolen, police said.
