Police Increase Presence Outside New Rochelle HS Following Fatal Stabbing
There was a heavy police presence outside of the New Rochelle High School on Thursday morning, a day after a 16-year-old student was fatally stabbed during a fight around the corner from the campus. Valaree Schwab, a junior at the high school, was stabbed outside of Dunkin’ Donuts on North Avenue on Wednesday afternoon during a dispute with another student. She was transported to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, police said, but was pronounced dead there.
