LI Mom Accused Of Killing Twin Daughters Now Faces Two Counts Of First-Degree Murder
Charges against a Medford woman accused of killing her twin 2-year-old daughters by allegedly covering their mouths and noses with her hands have been upgraded to two counts of first-degree murder, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney. The upgraded charges were unveiled Wednesday, July 10, when Tenia Campbell, 24, appeared in a Riverhead courtroom. Have you seen it? Police investigators in Suffolk Country have released photos as they attempt to track down a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run in East Patchogue last month. Bellport resident Alexis Velasquez, 30, was riding his bicycle on Montauk Highway near Gazzola Drive at approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 28 when he was struck by an SUV that proceeded to speed away from the scene.
