Oil Thief Caught Siphoning From Popular CT Restaurant: Police
A New York man was caught stealing cooking oil from a local Connecticut restaurant in an early-morning escapade, police said.
The New Haven County incident happened on Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Milford, the city’s police department announced.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., Milford Police spotted a white tanker in the side parking lot of Lasse’s Restaurant, located at 611 Bridgeport Avenue.
Upon investigation, officers saw Westchester County resident Wilfredo Santiago, age 38, actively stealing oil from a vat off the side of the restaurant.

Target Thieves Use Fake Name, Found With Drugs In CT: Police
A duo accused of stealing hundreds from a Connecticut Target was also found to be in possession of drugs and under a false name, police said.
It happened on Sunday, Aug. 27 in New Haven County when the two Christopher Connors, age 45, and Nicholas Clark, age 43, reportedly walked into the Milford Target located at 1191 Boston Post Road (Route 1).
The duo put merchandise, totaling over $250, into a reusable shopping bag and walked out of the store without paying, police said.

Kitten Thieves Nabbed Following CT Burglary: Police
Two accused Connecticut thieves who couldn’t keep their paws off of a kitten are now facing multiple charges relating to the burglary, authorities said.
On Saturday, Aug. 19 in New Haven County, Milford Police announced the arrests of Jeffrey Domeracki, age 36, of Milford, and Alexis Nagy, age 29 of Stratford, for burglarizing a local animal shelter.
Police initially responded to Milford Animal Control, located at 664 East Broadway, after the burglar alarm went off.

Rounds Of Storms Knock Out Power In Fairfield County: Communities Most Affected
Rounds of storms, some of which were severe, have caused numerous power outages in Connecticut.
As of around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, Eversource reported around 1,800 customers affected, and United Illuminating another 116.

Man Trespasses At CT Smoke Shop, Damages Window
A Connecticut man was charged with alleged trespassing after throwing an item at a window inside a smoke shop damaging it and then returning again the next day.
The incident took place in New Haven County at the Old Glory Smoke Shop at 1250 Boston Post Road on Friday, Aug. 4, and Saturday, Aug. 5 in Milford.
According to Milford Police, on Friday, Aug. 4, Michael Spangler, age 45, homeless, entered the store and threw an item at the window, damaging it.
He was charged with trespassing and released.
