State Police Cruiser Struck In Fairfield County Crash
State police cruisers were struck in separate Christmas Eve Day crashes in Connecticut - one in Fairfield County and the other in Middlesex County.
Just after 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, a Daibeliz Taveras, age 33, from Brooklyn, New York, traveling northbound on I-95 a half-mile south of the Exit 17 off-ramp in Norwalk lost control of her 2018 Dodge Journey and struck another vehicle, before drifting and colliding with the cruiser, state police said.
The state police trooper, the driver of the Journey, and six passengers in the Journey were hospitalized with what police say were minor injuries…

Several Connecticut residents are feeling lucky after cashing in CT Lottery tickets with six-figure prizes.
On Monday, Nov. 29, a Trumbull resident cashed in a winning $300,000 “$1,000,000 Golden Riches” scratch-off lottery ticket that was sold at the Trumbull Super Stop on Main Street in Fairfield County.
The winner chose to remain anonymous.

Woman Killed, Toddlers Hospitalized After Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash, CT State Police Say
A woman was killed and two young children were hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Connecticut.
It happened just before 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10 in Hartford County, in Berlin.
A Chrysler Town & Country LX was traveling on Route 9 southbound, just south of Exit 23, in the left lane of two, Connecticut State Police said.
For an unknown reason, the driver lost control of her vehicle, said police.
