SUV Crashes Into, Kills Woman Walking In Malden: DA
A pedestrian was killed Thursday, Oct. 19, after a BMW SUV crashed into another vehicle before hitting the woman as she stood on the sidewalk, Middlesex County, authorities said. The initial wreck happened at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Main Street in Malden when the BMW slammed into a stopped SUV at a traffic light, the Middlesex District Attorney said. The BMW then struck two light poles before crashing into the female pedestrian. Paramedics rushed the woman to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. Bicyclist Killed In Newton Crash With UPS Truck ID'd
Authorities in Middlesex County have identified the cyclist who died after being hit by a delivery truck in Newton on Monday, Aug. 28. Alex Bohm, 57, was riding his bike west of Watertown Road, and a UPS truck coming the other way collided as the truck went to turn onto Bridge Road, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Investigators have not said who caused the crash. First responders reached Bohm just before 5:30 p.m. and rushed him to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, but doctors could not save his life. A 34-year-old Middlesex County man convicted this summer of gunning down a man in a parking lot in 2017 was given a life sentence this week, authorities said. A 58-year-old Peabody man was convicted Tuesday, Aug. 8, of gunning down his estranged wife a month after she requested a divorce in 2018, authorities announced. A Middlesex County chiropractor is accused of filming at least one person naked in the bathroom of his Peabody business, authorities said. Scott Kline, 44, of Middleton, is charged with photographing an unsuspecting nude person and was being held on a $10,000 bail, the Middlesex District Attorney said.
