Three Separate Fires Break Out In Fairfield Fairfield firefighters were on a run all day Wednesday responding to three fires in under eight hours in addition to EMS and alarm calls. The fire calls started with a call at 12:52 p.m., to a fire on the third floor of a home on Toilsome Hill Road, said Chief Kyran Dunn.  Responding firefighters found an attic fire they were able to extinguish with damage limited to the attic area, the chief said.  A few hours later, Dunn said the department responded to a fire around 6:22 p.m. for a reported boiler fire on Winnepoge Drive.
