A New Haven County resident used some meaningful numbers to turn his dream of winning the lottery to a reality.
Michael Chesson, of Meriden, played the Connecticut Lottery's Powerball game with numbers that were a combination of the years when his parents were born and his house number.
When Michael checked his ticket for the Wednesday, Jan. 25 drawing while lying in bed, he thought he was dreaming, the lottery reports.

22-Year-Old CT Man Charged In Crash That Seriously Injured 2 Passengers
A Connecticut man is facing multiple assault charges following a crash that seriously injured two passengers last year.
New Haven County resident Daniel Leal Jr., of Meriden, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 2, in connection to a crash that happened in Kearny, New Jersey, in October of 2021, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.
Police responded to the crash near the Route 7 and Harrison Avenue split at about 4:10 a.m. on Oct. 19, 2021, after receiving reports that a vehicle struck a parked tractor-trailer, Suarez reported.

IDs Released For CT Man, Woman Killed After Car Crashes Down Embankment
Connecticut State Police have released the identities of two people killed in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash took place in New Haven County on I-91 in North Haven around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30 near Exit 12.
Police said a 2011 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on I-91 when it passed the off-ramp and ran off the road to the right.
The car then traveled down an embankment and collided with a tree, causing the car to catch on fire, state police said.
