The incident took place Monday when Town of Poughkeepsie police received a call that a woman was forcibly robbed of her pocketbook while entering her vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Main Street, said Capt. Shooting Victim In Critical Condition, Poughkeepsie Police Say A 27-year-old man shot during a dispute on Main Street is in critical condition, according to the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department. The shooting took place around 6:37 p.m. Sunday, July 1 at 644 Main St., said Det. Sgt. Sean Fitzgerald.   The unidentified man was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital in a private car with serious injuries and underwent surgery, Fitzgerald said.  Early Monday, the man was listed in critical but stable condition.
