The American Lung Association released its 2025 edition of the "State of the Air" report on Wednesday, April 23. The study, now in its 26th year, highlights troubling air quality trends in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

A Loudoun County family and their two dogs are displaced after a fiery garage inferno tore through their Ashburn home Thursday morning, April 3, sending one person to the hospital, fire officials said.
It happened around 9 a.m. in the 21000 block of Awbrey Place, where multiple 911 callers reported flames and heavy smoke coming from a two-story, single-family home’s garage, according to Loudoun County Fire and Rescue.
