Prosecutor: Truck Driver Inappropriately Touched Child In Englewood Supermarket
Authorities arrested a married, 60-year-old truck driver accused of inappropriately touching a child "on an intimate body part" in an Englewood grocery store. Jorge Galarza of Long Island City, N.Y. was charged with sexual assault by child endangerment after touching a child under the age of 13, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo said. The incident occurred on Oct. 13, according to the prosecutor, who did not specify which supermarket. Galarza's first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m.

An Eastchester landlord and building superintendent have been accused of racial discrimination after a seven-week sting operation that used black and white testers posing as prospective tenants, according to this report by Westfair. The motorist who was killed Friday morning in a crash on the Taconic State Parkway near the Northern Westchester/Putnam border has been identified by state police from the Hawthorne barracks. The single-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound Taconic just north of Exit 11 (Route 134) in Yorktown at approximately 8 a.m. The operator and sole occupant of the vehicle was 54-year-old Darsin Sandro of Long Island City.
