Here's How Many Are Still Without Power After Damaging Storm Slams Ulster, Sullivan Counties
Hundreds of Ulster County and Sullivan County residents are still without power following Monday’s thunder and wind storm.
As of 10:45 a.m., on Tuesday, April 14, NYSEG was reporting 52 outages in Sullivan County and three in Ulster, while Central Hudson had no outages in Sullivan, and 359 in Ulster.

Hundreds of Ulster and Sullivan County residents have been left in the dark as storms roll through the region, bringing whipping winds of more than 50 mph that toppled tree limbs and downed power lines.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, Central Hudson was reporting that 1,991 of its 90,1000 Ulster County residents were reporting power outages, while NYSEG was reporting 352 outages in Sullivan County, with an additional 59 in Ulster.

On Friday, April 19, State Police troopers in Roscoe arrested Benjamin Newbury, 23 of East Windsor, NJ, for DWI. He was traveling on 17B in Thompson when he was observed to make an illegal U-turn before entering a sobriety checkpoint. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.

New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley busted more than 30 motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the last week-plus.
