Two Long Island store clerks are facing charges after a Code Compliance Inspection conducted overnight.
Suffolk County Police First Precinct Crime Section officers and Community Support Unit officers, in conjunction with Town of Babylon Code Enforcement personnel, conducted the inspections in Wyandanch at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30 at two stores:
Rollies Smoke Shop, located at 1525 Straight Path,
Alla Convenience Inc., located at 1308 Straight Path.

Suffolk County Man Killed In Crash With Mack Truck
A man was killed in a crash with a Mack truck on a busy Long Island roadway.
Robert Favichia, age 57, of Copiague was killed around 5:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 25 in Lindenhurst.
Favichia was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup truck eastbound on Montauk Highway when his vehicle struck a 2009 Mack truck that was backing out of an alley in front of 51 Montauk Highway, according to Suffolk County Police.
He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Mack truck, Erik James, age 43, of Brentwood, was not injured.

Lindenhurst Man Charged With Leaving Dog In Sub-Freezing Temps, SPCA Says
A wanted man on Long Island is facing charges for allegedly leaving his dog outside his home in sub-freezing temperatures, the SPCA announced.
Suffolk County SPCA and police officers responded to a home on 44th Street in Lindenhurst, where there was a report of a resident leaving his dog outside in a cold, unheated car with the engine off.
Roy Gross, Chief of the Suffolk SPCA said that the homeowner, Byron Perez, age 34, also left the dog with no ready access to food, water, or any indoor heated facility while the temperatures were between 14 and 18 degrees as it was left inside the car.
