Duo Busted With Loaded Gun, Oxycodone During Traffic Stop On Long Island, Police Say
Two Long Island residents are facing charges after they were allegedly caught with a loaded gun and drugs during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Alonzo Loyola, age 24, of Valley Stream, and Pia Califano, age 19, of Levittown, were stopped at around 11:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, as they drove through Inwood.
Officers initiated a traffic stop near Burnside Avenue and Nassau Expressway after noticing that their 2011 Infiniti had excessive tinted windows, Nassau County police said.
A subsequent investigation turned up a loaded firearm and one pill believed to be oxycodone, according to police…

Mark (Marcos) Ferman, age 84, of Levittown, had last been seen around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, Nassau County Police said.
On Friday afternoon, Sept. 16, police announced he's been located. No further information was released.

A former Long Island bookkeeper has been charged with allegedly stealing more than $120,000 from a local trade union.
Jennifer Jira, age 40, of Westbury, was arraigned on Thursday, Aug. 18, and charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, said Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly.

Alert Issued For Missing Hicksville Teen Who Frequents These Nassau County Communities
Police on Long Island are asking the public for help locating a missing teen.
Justin Eng, age 18, of Hicksville, was reported missing on Sunday, July 31.
Eng was last seen leaving his Fox Place residence around 3 p.m., said the Nassau County Police.
He is described as being 6-foot-1, 125 pounds, with black hair and black eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black sweatpants, and white sneakers, police said.
