ID Released Of Biker Killed In Yorktown Crash: Police Give Investigation Updates Police have released the identity of the cyclist killed in a crash on Route 134 in northern Westchester.  The incident happened in Yorktown around 7:47 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, when 44-year-old Jeremy Solomon of Irvington was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Route 134, the Yorktown Police Department said in an update on Friday, Aug. 15.  Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene. Car Engulfed By Flames On Saw Mill Parkway In Irvington, Impacts Traffic A car fire on a busy parkway in Westchester sent plumes of smoke into the air and impacted traffic. The blaze broke out on Sunday, Dec. 1 just after 6:30 a.m., when a vehicle caught on fire on the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Irvington, according to the village's fire department. The flames completely consumed the car as firefighters raced to put it out.  The Elmsford Fire Department helped with the effort and the Westchester County Police Department helped direct traffic at the scene.  The cause of the blaze was not released.

Vehicle Rolls Over In Crash On Route 9 In Irvington Crews had to clean debris from a busy Westchester roadway following a two-vehicle crash that left one car flipped on its side.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Aug. 20 just before 7 p.m., when two cars collided at the intersection of Main Street and South Broadway (Route 9) in Irvington, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department said on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The drivers were able to get themselves out of the vehicles and were later evaluated by EMS crews.  After around 45 minutes, all of the debris from the crash was cleaned from the roadway, the department said.
