Student Caught With Air Soft Gun At Hudson Valley School, Police Say
A male student in possession of an Airsoft-type gun was captured by police at a Hudson Valley school. The incident took place around 11:20 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at the Dutchess County BOCES school, in Hyde Park. Hyde Park police responded to the school located at 49 Boces Road after receiving a report of a male on school grounds who might be in possession of a gun, said Chief Robert Benson, of the Hyde Park Police. A lifelong resident in the region who worked for nearly two decades at an area surgical center has died at the age of 58. Dutchess County resident Elizabeth "Tiki" Rodgers, of Hyde Park, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 29, in Poughkeepsie, according to her obituary. She was born in Poughkeepsie and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. Rodgers worked for Dutchess Dutchess Ambulatory Surgical Center for nearly 20 years, her obituary said. Two men are facing criminal charges after they were allegedly caught with a loaded shotgun in their car in the area, police said. Dutchess County residents Christopher Craft Sr., age 55, and Jeremy Craft, age 32, both of Rhinebeck, were arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday, April 20, in Hyde Park. Dutchess County resident William Christopher Bean IV, of Hyde Park, died in Albany on Monday, April 18, according to his obituary. Bean was born in Poughkeepsie, and he graduated in the class of 2015 from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park.
